My name is Susan Nalder, and I have been teaching in Douglas Country since 1998. Originally from Montana, I have lived in the Carson Valley since 1993. All four of my children attended school here and graduated from Douglas High School. My BA was from the University of Washington in English and Elementary Education. I received my Masters of Education from the University of Nevada-Reno. Previously, I have taught kindergarten, first, second and fourth grades.
I feel very fortunate to be a Math, Social Studies and Reading teacher here at Pau-Wa-Lu and look forward to an exciting year. Education is my passion, and I know the magic happens best when teachers, students and parents communicate and work together.
